One of your best sources of information is the Montana Dept of Livestock, they pretty much rule the roost as far as cattle in our state, APHIS is the federal agency involved in the bison issue in Montana, that is the Animal Plant Health Inspection Service.
Even though the ranchers in this state would LIKE us to believe it is a brucellosis issue, many in this state as well as nation wide, believe it is in fact a land control issue, which is an ongoing battle that has raged since white man came to the west...resulting in the loss of many native americans as well as native wildlife.
