June Trip Question Re: BUGS!

Hi -- this is the first time we've been in the park in mid-June. We usually go in early May and late September. Anyway, I've been hearing a bit about ticks -- anyone here ever have a problem with them in mid-June? I really hate those things! Also, will the mosquitos be out in force in mid-June? We never had to deal with bugs on previous trips, so just wondering what to expect on this trip, and if we should shower with DEET each day. Thanks.
