Look up the Greater Yellowstone Coalition, they're a well-informed, highly opinionated (this is, anti-hazing, etc.) group and they will probably have tons of commentary for you. www.greateryellowstone.org/

I've included a link below to Yellowstone Science, which has research articles on the subject.

You might investigate back issues of the Billings Gazette and the Bozeman Chronicle to track local feelings on the matter.
