There were laundromats when we were there in 2000/2002. We had a long wait to use the washers at Old Faithful, though I have to say I had a blast talking to the others waiting for a turn. We also used another spot - maybe Canyon? - and I don't think we had a wait. But the Canyon trip was probably in late May or early June, while the Old Faithful trip was in July.

We also did the wagon ride to the cookout at Roosevelt, which I've posted about before. We got rained out and driven back ahead of schedule. Which kind of cracked us up, being from Seattle. If we cancelled our picnics for rain here, we'd never have any.

Maybe it was really about the horses, though. My son did a horseback ride in 2006. He made it back just before they cancelled the rest of the day's rides. They don't take the horses out in thunderstorms.

Good advice to bring binoculars for everyone. By the time the third guy gets a look - the bear might be gone.

Have a great trip. I don't have to say "wish I could go", because I'll be there this summer!
