When I worked in Yellowstone in 1969, almost all of the summer employees in the park were students from various colleges across the U.S. who were on summer break. Since the mid-1990s, I have visited Yellowstone several times and have noticed that, now, most of the summer employees seem to be from foreign countries.
Does anyone know when the trend away from American students and to foreign students began, and why it began? Can anyone explain this?
