June 7 - 15, 2008: Buffalo are Roaming

Those beautiful painted buffalo will roam back to the original home on the lawn in front of the Yellowstone Historic Center Museum where they will spend the week in the corral awaiting the "birth" of the NEW painted calves. An arts & crafts fair in the historic Union Pacific Dining Lodge will commence on Friday the 13th and continue through Sunday. The unveiling of those painted baby buffalo will be on Saturday, June 12th before they, too, begin to roam around West Yellowstone. Live music is part of the weekend, too.

June 11 - 14, 2008: Train Day and Centennial Kick-of

This day commemorates the arrival in West Yellowstone of the first Union Pacific pa_ssenger train filled with Yellowstone bound tourists in 1908. Did you get that -- 100 years ago!! So, we're celebrating our Centennial and this kick-off week will feature fantastic speakers, stagecoaches, freight wagons, live music and just plain fun! Chuckwagon dinner every night: (cost still to be determined) FREE admission to the Museum of the Yellowstone on June 11th! For an agenda of the events and more detail click below
