My husband and I have visited Yellowstone many times. But because we moved back east in 2003 and have been tied with many things here we haven't been there since 2002. In that year we noticed the park was getting more crowded, even in late Sept. which we prefer. Our best trip was the one we did the last week at Lake Hotel on the last week they were opened in Oct.
Has there been a big increase in visitors since 2002 and is it still relatively uncrowded in late Sept/early Oct? Also, what is a winter visit like as far as crowds?
