The number of visitors from 1872 to 1894 is estimated, and this info is from "The Yellowstone Story" Volume Two by Aubrey L. Haines. Figures from 1895 through 2006 were provided by the National Park Service. From 1895 to 1951 the number of visitors was tabulated from 01 Oct to 30 Sep. From 1952 to the present, the figures represent visitors for the calendar year.
